When you first meet someone, how long does it take you to make up your mind about them? Research varies – some say two minutes, others as little as two seconds. How do we make these snap judgments? It seems that they are made at a subconscious level. So what are the signals that our subconscious looks for in weighing up others? What subtle messages do we unknowingly send that impact how others view us?

This talk aims to give you a brief overview of a selection of non-verbal communication styles and the messages that these send to others in terms of leadership. It will help you to recognize and enhance your own non-verbal style and to connect with and lead people in a more impactful way.

Your speakers are Christine Griffin and Gayl Long who provide business coaching and people management consultancy services. They work collaboratively to help leaders, teams and HR professionals to improve their effectiveness in times of transition and transformation.

Christine and Gayl are ICF accredited coaches and senior HR professionals with over 20 years’ experience in major international organizations including BP, Bayer, KBR, ICI,
Thermo Fisher Scientific and Unigate. They are both Master NLP Practitioners and trained in Group Dynamics Leadership, non-verbal communication and psychometric profiling tools.
