Three things to bear in mind when considering this!

1. Do you need people to help your business be successful? 

If the answer is yes, how do you find those people?  How do you know if they can add value to your business?  What is the best way to bring them on board to your business?  Lots of questions but do you have the answer?  Possibly not because the reasons that you started a business was to provide a great service or product - not the 'people aspects'!

2. Are you HR processes and documentation up to date and reflect what is important to you and your business? 

Is it legally compliant?  If you do not know the answer to this or suspect that it is not up to date, then your business is at risk potentially from your employees, HMRC, etc.

3. If you have a business strategy - how does your team or potential team fit into that? 

If you are unsure or cannot get the productivity you need to have a profitable and sustainable business, this needs to be addressed.  Otherwise your people become an expensive non value added overhead and nothing more.
